Video host removing inappropriate channels and blocking adult comments on clips aimed at impressionable younger viewers

YouTube has pledged to begin taking an “even more aggressive stance” against predatory behaviour as it was reported that paedophiles are operating on the site and evading protection mechanisms. Several global brands are reported to have pulled adverts from YouTube on the eve of one of the biggest shopping days of the year, after they were alerted that they were appearing with videos exploited by paedophiles. YouTube has already removed 50m channels deemed inappropriate in the last week including the popular Toy Freaks and a number running fake "adult" versions of cartoons featuring beloved animated characters from Peppa Pig, Frozen, Minions and Thomas the Tank Engine .
